Pun Choy .. NOT !!

A post to 'blow some steam'. Short one.

It should at least look like a stainless steel bucket or an olden day washbasin. Like this, this and this. Don't they make you salivate? They all came from the same restaurant, granted.

Pity, a far away restaurant in my companions' book(s).

So a more convenient venue was sourced.

Look what we had.Bill for 10pax: RM662 (I think) inclusive of an extra order of 2 small plates of fried noodles.

  1. Eek. What a ripoff!

Actually, the Sg Buloh place isn't that far off leh. The only difficulty is in maneuvering thru the kampung.

  3. HUH??? That is punchoy??? Wahh..did you complain? Looks more like claypot stew to me. And so pricey!

  4. Sad right?

Majority of companions were quite happy with it. Excuses of maybe different style from different villages/territories/provinces drowned the minority's complaints. *sigh*

    Once bitten say bye-bye.

  10. jason, more like what pea said, claypot stew.

kampungboycitygal, yalor. Noticed those authentic ones don't have thick sauce poured over when heating up.

jackson, our bill included additional orders of noodles. The great pun choy pretender was not too pricey but so fake!

j2kfm, variety is reasonable (4 claypot stew). Serving & taste *show thumbsdown*.
