Restaurant Shin, Sungei Wang Plaza

I have been keeping my hair short. Out of bed tussle short. So frequent trimming is necessary to keep it from being bike helmet-like or golliwog-ish. Unfortunately I dislike hair saloons where one has to go thorugh a gauntlet of queries and critisms (meant to be constructive maybe) when they try oh so hard to push their products. All these stressful hours don't come cheap either. Isshh. That's why I'm grateful for the arrivals of those functional little cubicles which does your hair for RM12.00 in 12 minutes or so. Wipe off that look of disbelieve (or is it disgust). C'mon, they are conveniently located, clean, fast and fuss free. What more can one ask for, no? Well, that's where I while my time away waiting for a couple of friends to dine at Sungei Wang Plaza. See? Efficient use of time.

I got all excited over Lyrical Lemongrass's post on Scoop Ten Dessert House but alas failed to convince my companions. Tables at the secluded corner lot (unless you happen to come up using the nearby lifts) were empty and the food displayed on the glass covered shelves looked scarce and old. Worse, the staff were more interested in their gossiping than us. =(
Lyrical Lemongrass, maybe it caters more for lunch crowds?

We practically went around that floor twice before deciding to park ourselves at a Korean food outlet with these for decoration:-It had quite an impressive menu. We ordered these (can bet most will say the following pictures look similar to each other. Not my fault, ok. Afterall, the bowls of noodles did come with quite similar ingredients.) :-

2 glasses of warm water and 1 Honey Lemon Tea. (Only 1 glass of water shown in picture)Individual plates of Kimchi (Preserved cabbage) and Anchovies as appetizer (served once any order of food is made similar to the serving of peanuts in Chinese Restaurants). Kimchi tasted quite mild and the salty little fishies were not crunchy at all. Maybe it is supposed to be like this. *scratch head*Ramen Bulgogi. Mine. Yummy although the soup tends to taste more porky than beefy. O.o?Kimchi Ramen. Took a spoonful of the soup. A minor notch above mine but would prefer it spicier.Pork Ramen. Soup's taste towards Nissin noodle's soup. The meat slices were good though.Rice. This was the winner. Not sure what is it but taste somewhat like fried fragrant glutinous rice. A must try.
Sadly I mistakenly deleted the picture.

Our bill:-

The location:- The Roof Top Level 6 of Sungei Wang Plaza

Caution:- it's a shopping floor for Anime/Mangga influenced boys and girls or those teens at heart. Aunties and Uncles (though many will not own up to be this), please be prepared for the possible culture shock.

Oh one more thing. Why is there a pole right smack in the middle of the lift cubicles? You know, a pole as in like those poles firemen would slid down in style or where girls or any interested parties exhibit their dance on. Anyone?

I was looking at the itemized billing and it makes me wonder...what the heck is item "I.O.A.J.G.C.G.CF"!?!?!

A secret/illegal Korean special delicacy/substance?! :P

Been a while since I wandered around Sg Wang. Seen this place when I walk through the sixth floor and it's quite packed most of the time. The kimchi doria sounds interesting since I love dorias but always thought it was more of a Japanese thing.

Hmmm...for all you know, they might be using those korean instant noodle, add an egg and some veggie and charge a bomb.

the bill code used for the lemon tea sure is special (and long too!)..:)..hmmm,wonder if i'll ever get to try this since i hardly go to sungai wang..

tankiasu, jason & sc, hey, I assumed that's d code for d drink based on the price charged. *note to self* must check receipt everytime before & after paying.

wmw, each did taste different.

boo_licious, all tables were occupied at d time we were there too.

precious pea, do get that a lot at char chan teng, right?

i am guessing, but maybe the pole in the lift is to prevent people from using trolleys in the lift?

ken, hello hello! That did cross my mind but nobody uses shopping trolley in Sg Wang. Oh, do u mean baby strollers? That's not good.
