Toilet post#10
That's a view of the washroom in Bangsar Seafood Village Restaurant at One Bangsar. Hmm.. seems like it's the trend now for such taps and washbasins. I do find the taps most practical, easier to turn on and off the water when hands/fingers are not so convenient/free [when carrying stuff or a baby or just hanging on to dear life of a tantrumental kid(s)]. One can just push the taps' handles up (to let water flow) and down (to turn off the flow) using an elbow. Handicapped friendly too. Or worse scenario, just do it with a rod or anything hard.
See those small pebbles surrounding the basins? Main reason for this feature is to ask this question:- how does one wash these? Scrap all of them out and dip into a pail of water then dry? Or just spend money replacing them when the dirt or stench becomes unbearable?

This is restaurant so maybe they replace. But I've seen it in people's houses! Maybe they dip it in clorox once a month lol... btw you haven't emailed me tummy
Toilet expert...any improvements to the public toilets now that VMY 2007 is in high gear? ;)
paris, no? I'll try again.
rasa malaysia, takde expert-lar. K-po only.
With utmost regret & shame, I missed the recent extravagant openning ceremony for the ultimate throne of our nation - a RM400,000 (correct me if I'm wrong) public toilet! Hope to find time to visit soon. & sincerely hope to find it still in its majestic condition. *crossing own fingers, toes, arms, legs, hair, anything else?*
In one 5 Star Hotel not so long ago in KL I happen to see a middle aged man washing his dirty feet in one of the Xpensive looking basins ( meant for hands I suppose)by dexteriously placing his precious legs ( my eyesores) one after another in full view of other gentleman users( like myself).
Its true our software id generally hopeless, whats the use of multimillion dollar toilets anyway?
We have too many Kampong champions running wild in the cities !
I shall now stop my ramblings otherwise yrs will become a racially political blog, sorry !
tonixe, at least d practice of well-dressed mothers holding up babies/toddlers to 'sh-shi' in basins seems to have eased.
Dun worry. We r only trying to 'enlightened' our 'Cemerlang-ians' how to appreciate and care for the occasional world class infrastructure in place.
they should ban ass washing or at least messy water sprays. part of the reason why our toilets are so dirty is coz they're always wet. but tonixe is right la, cant elaborate on this, lest it becomes a racially political blog.
tummy ah, i was straining my eyes to see the picture of the toilet, to see if any hint of whether its the gents or ladies, to get a clue as to your gender. alas, sinks are unisex.
fatboybakes, if you've rummaged through my previous posts, you'll notice there's no picture of urinals or 'pissing walls'. So, puzzle no more!
hahah, jackson and i were having a non financial bet. i win, of course.
muahahah.
fatboybakes, congrats. So, when I can expect to receive my share?
