Ben Sang Ipoh Ho Fun, Taman Desa

Presentation wise, this bowl of Ipoh Chicken Broth Flat Rice Noodles was a real turn off. And this is not due to my less than amateurish photographic skill. Been there a few times and yes, this is the usual way it arrives at your table.
Tastewise, thumbs up toes up! The chicken pieces smooth, the noodles smoother and the soup, flavourfully sweet. A word of caution though. The chicken pieces are at the 'just cooked' stage so may not be for those who are squeamish at the sight of blood. Not to say this had happened to me but there is a good chance since the meat can be a bit on the raw side close to the bones. As for its highly recommended wantons (prawn dumplings) by the proprietors, I have had them before (didi not take any pictures) are to me nothing to shout about.

This is a stall run by 3 men. A gentle fair looking man whose duty is to greet customers (which he does most genuinely and courteously) and take orders. He is always standing there with a ready smile. Another in the background busy preparing the orders while a foreign worker buses tables. This worker is a gem too. Whenever I asked for extra cilipadis, he will bring me the whole tub and wait patiently while I scoop my desired amount.
The cost:- RM5.00 per bowl

Location:- A Food Court at Taman Desa. Stall is the first on the right upon entering
.
Note: Better to go in the mornings as the place gets stuffy and warm towards noon.

tummythoz,
The presentation of this Ipoh Ho Fun really doesn't look appealing at all. Not like the usual Ipoh Ho Fun that we are familiar with. But hey, who cares! As long as it's nice right? haha!

I like my soup to have some reddish prawn oil. Although it look like normal clear ho fun, but i believe you that it must be good. Will try it since I will be heading to Taman Desa on weekly basis pretty soon.

fezzaboy, lotsa stalls there. U try & let me know, k.

kok, next time there I'll try to hint to the boss(es) to improve presentation.

wmw, maybe try NJoe's idea?

new kid on the blog, yes, very expensive compared to the noodles in Pg? It is a bit on the high side here too but the portion of chicken slices is good.

precious pea, waiting anxiously for your say..

NJoe, can work or not? Just asked wmw to try it out.

tankiasu, also open in the mornings?

big boys oven, parking at the food court still easy but around the shoplots, quite bad.

xiu long bao, really look that bad huh.

kampungboycitygirl, from what I saw, this stall has quite a following as most do come to the foodcourt just for it. PMS chicken? Ewwws.
